Hypnobirthing in Cornwall + Online
Calm + confident preparation for birth + beyond.
Heart-led education from a doula, independent hypnobirthing practitioner + pregnancy yoga teacher.
Private hypnobirthing + antenatal courses to help you feel informed, ready + grounded as you approach birth + parenthood. Offered in person or online.
What is hypnobirthing?
Despite the slightly dodgy name, hypnobirthing is much more grounded and practical than you might imagine.
It’s an approach to birth preparation that brings together antenatal education, relaxation, breathing, mindset work + practical tools for managing labour.
It helps you understand what’s happening in your body during birth, explore the fears + expectations you may be carrying, + learn ways to support yourself through the physical + emotional experience of labour. Hypnobirthing also teaches your birth partner how to support you with confidence.
The aim isn’t to achieve a particular kind of birth, or a ‘perfect’ one. Birth can unfold in many different ways + hypnobirthing can be powerful whether you’re planning a home birth, a hospital birth, a caesarean or something in between.
Instead, it’s about being informed, prepared + connected to yourself, so you have practical tools to draw on + feel able to make decisions as your birth unfolds.
Through Held, hypnobirthing is taught as a supportive approach to birth preparation, one that makes space for working with the physiology of birth, your individual circumstances, your choices + the unexpected. Less about controlling birth. More about feeling ready for it.

The Held Approach
I share information clearly, calmly + without judgement, creating space for questions, reflection + learning that feels supportive rather than overwhelming.
As an independent hypnobirthing practitioner, doula, pregnancy yoga teacher, breastfeeding peer supporter + parent, I bring my training, lived experience + a rich understanding of the transition into parenthood to my work.
My approach is gentle, grounded + detailed, with plenty of space for you to feel heard, ask questions + explore what matters to you.
Our sessions are interactive + varied, combining visual learning, discussion, practical activities, relaxation techniques + plenty of space for questions + conversation about your own pregnancy + birth.
Everything is shaped around you, your partner, your learning style, past experiences + your circumstances. Because no two families are the same, I don’t think birth preparation should be either.
What my clients are saying
I believe everyone deserves access to this hypnobirthing as well as this level of time, education + support, because having a positive birth experience can have a huge ripple effect on families in the early days + beyond.
Staggered payments are available + if the investment still feels out of reach, please get in touch. If cost is a barrier, I'm always happy to have an honest conversation about what is possible, including payment plans or, where it feels right, a skill swap.
There is no awkwardness, no judgement + no expectation. Just reach out . I believe everyone deserves to feel held.
What we’ll cover together
In our sessions, we explore both the practical, mental + emotional side of preparing for birth. We go deep. I completely tailor your learning experience to you + your partner, so expect attentive + enjoyable learning that makes you feel empowered + listened to.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Not at all. Hypnobirthing can support all types of birth, including hospital birth, induction, assisted birth + caesarean birth. All births can benefit from this kind of meaningful, practical + informed support.
-
Many people begin between 20 + 34 weeks of pregnancy, though it’s never too early or too late to start. Please get in touch with me if you’re looking for last minute support, or if you’re thinking it’s too early to begin preparing for a positive birth. I’d love to hear from you.
-
That’s one of the main reasons people come to hypnobirthing. We work gently through understanding how birth works, how fear affects the body + practical tools to help you feel calmer + more in control. We spend time addressing our fear + beliefs around birth, so we work to shape a more positive experience.
-
Absolutely. Hypnobirthing can be especially supportive for first-time parents wanting to feel more informed and prepared for birth. Many parents come to hypnobirthing the second time round because they know they want to do things differently this time, feel more prepared + come away from a birth experience that feels right for them.
If you’re unsure which option is right for you, let’s book a call + we can talk it through together. You don’t need to know what you’re looking for, but just how you want it to feel.
No pressure or obligation, just a relaxed chat
