Birth Doula in Cornwall

Offering calm, grounding support through pregnancy, birth + the hours + days after bringing home your baby.

Why choose birth doula support?

Families often tell me they want someone who knows them + understands their story when they come to give birth. Someone who can offer continuity, reassurance + support as they navigate pregnancy, labour + the transition into parenthood.

They want to feel informed about their options, confident in decisions + less alone. There is no perfect birth, and there is no single right way to do this. But, there is your way + my role is to encourage you to find that voice as I support you.

My role is to walk alongside you, offering a calm, steady presence + support that is shaped around you. Whatever birth looks like, you deserve to feel informed, supported + held.

What does a doula do?

Maybe you're already familiar with what doulas do, or perhaps it's something you've only just started to explore.

A birth doula provides emotional, practical + informational support throughout pregnancy, birth + the early days with your baby.

For some families, that means talking through birth preferences, exploring options + making sure you have the information you need to make decisions without feeling rushed. For others, it might be breathing together through contractions, helping create a calm environment, making sure everyone has eaten + rested, or simply being a reassuring, grounding presence in the room.

I respond to what you need, meeting you where you are + supporting your individual hopes, needs + goals as a family.

I support your birth partner too. We'll spend time together during pregnancy getting to know one another, so that when the time comes, they have someone alongside them too. Many partners find that having a doula means they can relax more fully into their own role, knowing there is someone there to offer reassurance, practical support + a steady presence for both of you.

Above all, my role is to provide continuity of care. To be someone who knows you, understands your hopes + concerns, and can walk alongside you through the uncertainty, intensity + enormity of becoming a parent.

I believe you deserve doula care that is personal, calm + without judgement.

I don't have a particular birth outcome I'm trying to achieve for you.
Instead, I'll help you explore your options, understand what matters to you + prepare for different possibilities, so you can make decisions that feel right for your family.

My support is gentle, practical + grounded. I'll listen, answer questions, offer information when you want it + be there to remind you of your own strengths when things feel uncertain.

Because no two families are the same, I don't think doula support should be either.

The Held approach

More than birth support

My work as a doula is shaped by the different parts of my experience, as a doula, hypnobirthing practitioner, yoga teacher, breastfeeding peer supporter + parent.

I bring a mind-body-led approach to birth support, helping you connect with your breath, body + instincts alongside the practical preparation and information you need.

Yoga has taught me the value of slowing down, tuning in to notice what your body is telling you + finding ways to work with it rather than against it. These are simple but powerful tools that can support you throughout pregnancy + become incredibly useful during labour, when things feel intense or unfamiliar.

I'll also support your birth partner to feel genuinely involved - not simply present in the room, but informed, confident + equipped to support you in ways that feel meaningful to both of you.

And as a twin mum, I know first-hand that pregnancy, birth + early parenthood don't always follow the neat path we might have imagined.

I bring all of this into my doula work, while keeping you, your family + your own experience at the centre.

There isn't one right way to prepare for birth. My role is to help you find yours.

Could I be your doula?

Every doula brings something special to the birth space, we are all unique. Alongside my doula + hypnobirthing work + yoga teaching, I bring a blend of knowledge, lived experience, calm + empathy to support you in a thoughtful way through pregnancy, birth + beyond.
